Going on Hiatus.

My dissertation is consuming me right now and I can't remember the last time I had something interesting to write in this space. I'm going to put the blog on hiatus until I get the dissertation written, defended, filed, and out of mind.

Ubuntu 5.10 Released.

Ubuntu is far and away my favorite linux distribution at the moment. It has just about everything that I like about Debian without the excessively long release cycles. I currently run three Ubuntu machines for various purposes and I was able to upgrade all three to the new release in the time it took to download a new installation CD.
