I follow the Rangers closer than any other MLB team, so that may color my perception, but you would have a hard time convincing me that Vladimir Guerrero is not the best player in baseball right now. He has played in 39 games in his career against the Rangers and has at least one hit in all 39 games. Vlad kills the Rangers, but he is amazing to watch.

The way he picks pitches out of the dirt and off his shoetops and drives them for doubles and homers is pretty much unparalleled in the modern game.
